What to Bring
All of the camps within the Moccasin Trails Adventures Group are considered outposts, meaning that you must bring in your own food and may sometimes be fishing on your own, unguided, especially for a “quick fish” in the evening after dinner. On the “Winisk River Trips” package however, you will be guided throughout your vacation. This trip consists of running through various parts of the mighty river and a guide is absolutely necessary. In fact, there are two guides per freighter canoe.

Beginning in the 2013 season, we are considering having all of the trips guided.
Here is a list of some of the items should you bring with you to camp:
-
-
Portable sonar (fish finder) with battery charger
-
Personal effects such as: Sleeping bag, towel, soap, tooth brush. And, bring a decent supply of over-the-counter products, such head ache, cold and flu and allergy medicine. DON’T forget your prescription meds!
-
Sunscreen, sun glasses, lip conditioner
-
Clothes for each day of your stay
-
Rain suit, warm coat, gloves, hat, water-proof footwear
-
Food (See Planning Your Menu)
-
Zip lock style bags for keeping fish or other foods fresh.
-
Digital or film photo camera and/or video camera
